MastereignPAL

Following the direction of MOE, Mastereign PAL offers the full suite of programmes: Sports and Outdoor Education, and Performing and Visual Arts.

Mastereign’s team of programme directors and managers are fully qualified content specialists in each of the domain. As such, we are able to create, customise and deliver the entire set of PAL programmes for any school.

In 2014, we will offer Mastereign PAL: Drama with the belief that Drama is a powerful platform to nurture children’s love for the the English language.

Our team of PAL trainers is carefully selected and oriented to teach lower primary children. Since the beginning of PAL, many of these trainers were engaged by Phase 1 schools to anchor their PAL programmes. Through the years, our PAL trainers have grown in numbers as well as in experience. Conducting experiential learning in a creative, fun and enjoyable way is now a way of life for them.

Our Stories

Creative Fusion at Work

One of the many memorable moments during the programme development for Outdoor Education was the theme suggested which is to incorporate an external learning journey for Mastereign PAL OE programme.

Mastereign Learning Journeys is a licensed travel agent by Singapore Tourism Board. As a STB licensed vendor, the team feels that we can further enhance the learning experience of the students for PAL OE programmes by incorporating an external learning journey. By bringing the learning out of the classroom, this learning journey has since become a signature feature of our programmes.

Performances and showcases of Mastereign PAL Visual Arts, Drama, Music, and Dance programmes were put together by allowing the students to learn, play, and work together. The props were constructed by the Visual Arts programmes and the music was put together by students taking the music modules. The Drama and Dance students will put up the performance utilising what their friends have created. Everyone gets to play a part.

Parental Bonding

Ages seven and eight can be considered a very crucial period of a child’s development. The concerns of parents for their child’s learning are very valid.

Mastereign PAL programmes recognise these concerns and we have a segment in our programmes that help parents understand how their child learns in our programmes.

Parent Volunteers are asked to participate in a Mastereign PAL programme curriculum briefing. These parents can also join their children during their learning journeys, seeing for themselves how their child has learnt and benefited from the programmes, not to mention a great chance for some parent-child bonding.

Our Programme Team

In Mastereign Enrichment Group, PAL programmes have created a unique opportunity not only for the students but also for the various programme directors and managers to work on a curriculum together. The team of programme developers from Visual Arts, Dance and Music, Sports and Games, Outdoor and Adventure actually gets the chance to put their heads together to work on PAL programmes.

Passionate and professionally well-versed in their domains and with their years in pedagogical enrichment and education, the team has put together some very creative programmes fusing many skills, elements, and cultures for a holistic learning for the students. The fusion of the domains skillset can be seen in many of the programmes.
