Entrepreneurship and Business Skills

EAB001 Young Entrepreneurs
This module imparts to participants knowledge on entrepreneurship and the understanding of the value of money through the use of hands-on experience in a real business venture in the school. Participants will learn entrepreneurship skills of setting up a business venture, marketing and basic accounting.
EAB002 Entrepreneurial Skills
This module concentrates on building up the critical skills needed for success in entrepreneurs. Goal setting, decision making with the use of credible information as well as risk analysis will be taught to students.
EAB003 The Entrepreneurial Mindset
This module focuses on inspiring students to pursue their passion in entrepreneurship and building up the mindset of risk taking in participants through the use of a board game. While it is important to generate profits and improve the bottomline, principals of integrity and social responsibility will also be imparted to students.
EAB004 Social Entrepreneurship
In this module, entrepreneurship skills will be taught to students cumulating to a bazaar at the end where students will employ their marketing and selling skills to generate profits to benefit the needy in the school.
EAB005 Entrepreneurship with Retail Sales
This module differentiates between brick and mortar, bricks and clicks as well as pure dot com companies in the retail marketplace. Emphasis will be placed on retailing in the brick and mortar setup where participants will learn the application of the 4Ps in marketing applied in a retail context. Consumer behaviour will also be covered in this module.
EAB006 E-Business Entrepreneurship
This module helps to stimulate interest of students in e-business retailing with an entrepreneurship and marketing module integrated with a web site designing module to create a website for retail. Alternatively, students who wish to market their wares will also be taught to use facebook and blogs to merchandise and reach their target audience.
EAB007 Visual Merchandising Skills with Retailing
In this module, students will learn in depth the various techniques employed by retailers in commonly visited places from the supermarkets to the boutiques in shopping malls to furniture shops. Marketing aspect of sales displays, store layout and pricing displays will be taught to students.
EAB008 Ethics in the Marketplace
The business world is often perceived as a ruthless place where greed and craftiness prevails. This module serves to teach students how to make organizations profitable and at the same time remain ethical by practicing corporate social responsibility in the marketplace.
