ANM001 Motion Creation
Students will create their personal models from materials such as clay or plasticine. They will also learn to create stop motion video with models they have created, conceptualize the storyline and have these models act out the scenes in full sound and music. The whole aesthetic and learning process, together with the skillful use of video editing software, will be fun and memorable for the students.
ANM002 Paint–on–Glass Motion
Using a simple technique of stop motion, students will explore the use of paint and glass to create a visually impactful and fun animation to tell a story.
ANM003 Toon Animator
With Adobe Flash, students can learn how to create stunning animations using basic tweening, frame-by-frame techniques, and a few bells and whistles. They will also learn how to draw simple yet compelling characters, prepare them for animation, add expression and motion, and storyboard and animate a 30-second sequence with a soundtrack.
ANM004 Playthings!
Students will create movable models and learn to manipulate them frame-by-frame using the stop motion video. They will start with building their own puppets and props, then move onto morphs, dialogues, walks and animations. A fun and handson approach will be used throughout the programme.
ANM005 Lego®Mation
Students will build their own mini movie set and create their own animated movie using provided LEGO mini figures or other objects they bring or make! Using video editing software, students use a computer and video camera to make their very own animated movie using stop-motion and live video techniques. They will then edit the movie and add exciting sound effects, music, narration and titles.
ANM006 Interactive Media
This course provides a comprehensive overview so that students can create interactive, fast-loading animations for the web, which can be replayed using the easily available Flash Player. Students can also create complete web sites using Flash, while taking advantage of its animation and design functionality. Students will also learn the basics of interactivity provided by the ActionScript scripting language in Flash.
ANM007 Sand Art in Motion
Sand art animation gives a new image of beauty and imagination with every turn. Students will explore the use of sand and grains and animate them to tell a story. This module will also teach students about the transitions and effects needed to turn a sand stop motion into a vibrant and meaningful clip.
ANM008 Pencil Animation
The basics of animation begins with pencil and paper. In this module, students will learn how to manipulate illustrations into movement towards animation, understand animation concepts and enjoying it.ANM003 Toon Animator
