Participants will be given an overview of the basic concepts of leadership theories and methodologies such as the Factors of Leadership, the Be-Know-Do-Learn Leadership Framework, Kouzes-Posner’s Leadership Challenge and so on. |

| An effective leader needs to proactively search for constructive direction and provide a clear and achievable vision for the team. His vision must be shared and resonate among his team members so that the entire team is inspired and there is a genuine effort by everyone to bring out the best in the team’s goals |

| A good leader seeks to understand the behaviour and characteristics of his followers in order to bring out the best in each and everyone of them. Effective leaders continue to nurture and develop teams that are selfmanaging rather than merely following instructions. Participants will also learn the basis of empowerment, what/how to empower and how to handle difficult situations constructively. |

| Self-leadership and team-leading can be time consuming if it is not used productively and efficaciously. Participants will be taught the tenets of effective time management and effective goal setting so that a leader can manage his time wisely in the face of leading the team towards the vision that has been set out. |

Enhancing Communication and Managing Conflicts |

| Enhancing communication between the leader and his team is crucial in creating smoother workflows and in deepening interpersonal understanding. This can be established through clearing the ‘barriers’ of communication, empathic listening and learning how to manage conflicts effectively.
Furthermore, when real and deep communication happens, mutual trust is developed and this inevitably brings about a greater unity in the team. |
